Technical Issues
1: Change to the published installation procedure
The installation procedure outlined in the manual page 3 has been changed. The following instructions should be followed instead of those shown in the manual.
To install the application:
| [1] |
Place the CD-ROM and installation floppy disk in their drives
|
| [2] |
For Windows 3.1, go to Program Manager FILE menu, click on RUN... For Windows 95/98, click on START | RUN...
|
| [3] |
Type in A:\WSETUP.EXE
|
| [4] |
Follow the instructions on the screen.
|
| [5] |
To start the program, double click on the Bodleian icon.
|
Return to index
2: Configure the Bodleian to run from the hard disk alone
Follow the steps below:
| [1] |
Copy the file BODLEIAN.AND from the CD-ROM to a folder on the hard disk, e.g. C:\BODLEIAN
|
| [2] |
Double-click on the file BODLEIAN.INI, usually found in C:\WINDOWS. Amend the line starting Filename= to say: Filename=C:\BODLEAIN\BODLEIAN.AND
|
Return to index
3: Fonts appear unreadable, in Greek or as boxes
Problems displaying fonts usually happen because the fonts have become corrupted, damaged, or are simply missing from the computer.
Delete the fonts installed by the Bodleian program (see list below). Restart the machine and then reinstall the fonts manually from the CD-ROM using the Windows FONTS control panel.
