1. Problems searching using the <Alt>+<g> keyboard shortcut

When starting a search using the keyboard shortcut <Alt>+<g>, the following error message “RHSPROJ caused a general protection fault in module RHISTS.EXE” There is a patch available for download which corrects this problem RHistsS.ZIP. Extract the RHistS.EXE and copy it to your hard disk overwriting the existing file, usually located in C:\RhistSoc

2. Installing the RHistS to run from the hard disk alone

Follow the steps below:
  1. Copy the contents of the CD-ROM to a folder on the hard disk, e.g. C:\RHSB
  2. Run the SETUP.EXE from the folder C:\RHSB, and follow this on-screen instructions

3. The RHistS on Windows XP

It may be the case that the shortcuts to the RHistS (usually found in the START menu) do not appear when logged in as a different user to that which performed the installation. If this happens, use My Computer to navigate to the RHIST.EXE file (usually found in C:\RHIST) to create anew shortcut.
