In 2009, OUP launched the Oxford Specialty Training series, a new resource from OUP aimed at junior doctors in the early years of training. This new series includes both textbooks and exam specific revision books, including multiple choice question titles. PASSit represents a new venture for this series, an innovative new site for multiple choice question practice.
PASSit is being developed to provide both a learning and revision experience for trainees sitting their membership and fellowship examinations. We are aiming to provide an unequalled experience for users, helping them to revise and pass their exams. The site will include exam style questions, the answers, and most importantly a detailed explanation to each answer. Each explanation will also include further reading, hyperlinked where possible, allowing users to follow up on areas of uncertainty. Superb functionality will support learners, providing a range of revision options and supplying essential feedback on their progress.
PASSit will provide material for the MRCP, MRCS, FRCA, FRCR, MRCPsych, MRCOG, MRCGP, and MRCPCH examinations, and will complement our existing texts in these areas.
We are now recruiting for both question writers and reviewers. If you are interested in contributing to this exciting new project, please contact us on tiffany.feist@oup.com. All potential question writers will be asked to submit three sample questions and a copy of their CV. These will be assessed by our expert moderators to ensure that they meet our exacting standards.
