Oxford Texts in Applied and Engineering MathematicsOUP has historically provided intermediate-level textbooks in applied mathematics through the Oxford Applied Mathematics and Computing Science series - the 'black and silver' series - which includes such well-known titles as Jordan and Smith, Nonlinear ordinary differential equations; Acheson, Elementary fluid dynamics; and Hill, A first course in coding theory. This has now been relaunched as Oxford Texts in Applied and Engineering Mathematics, and is now being developed to include more texts at undergraduate and graduate level.
The titles in the Oxford Texts in Applied and Engineering Mathematics series cover taught courses at undergraduate and graduate level where core is the essential mathematics required for modern applications to physics, engineering, finance, biology, and computer science. The books are written as teaching texts complete with examples and exercises
