1: Problems searching using the <Alt>+<g> keyboard shortcut

When starting a search using the keyboard shortcut <Alt>+<g>, the following error message “RHSPROJ caused a general protection fault in module RHISTS.EXE” There is a patch available for download which corrects this problem RHistsS.ZIP. Extract the RHistS.EXE and copy it to your hard disk overwriting the existing file, usually located in C:\RhistSoc

2: Installing the RHistS to run from the hard disk alone

Follow the steps below:

[1] Copy the contents of the CD-ROM to a folder on the hard disk, e.g. C:\RHSB
[2] Run the SETUP.EXE from the folder C:\RHSB, and follow this on-screen instructions

3: The RHistS on Windows XP

It may be the case that the shortcuts to the RHistS (usually found in the START menu) do not appear when logged in as a different user to that which performed the installation. If this happens, use My Computer to navigate to the RHIST.EXE file (usually found in C:\RHIST) to create a new shortcut.
