Consisting of ministerial statements, diplomatic letters, Parliamentary debates, and similar material relating to the official UK position on all aspects of international law, UK Materials on International Law (UKMIL) is an invaluable resource for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.

The material is arranged in accordance with the Council of Europe Model Plan, dividing the whole of international law into 18 main categories with several further levels of sub-headings. This unique electronic resource contains all of the material from 1975 to 2001 (over 3500 pages of printed matter) in an easily accessible and portable format. Users can simply click on the category or sub-category of international law in which they are interested or they can type key words into a browser for instant access to all relevant material.

System requirements

  • To use the UKMIL CD-ROM you will need: Minimum 486 processor PC with CD-ROM drive 32 MB of RAM (preferably 64 MB or more) 20 MB of free hard disk space Microsoft Windows 98 or ME, or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, or higher versions We recommend that where possible you set your screen resolution to SVGA (800 ¥ 600) or higher when using this product. Internet Explorer 4.0 or later (if you do not already have the latest version of Internet Explorer, it will be installed automatically). The UKMIL data can be installed onto your hard drive or run from the CD-ROM. Installing onto the hard drive will result in faster operation but requires 10 MB of free space in addition to the 20 MB required to run the application from the CD-ROM.
