• 'I love the melody to which the opening lines are set; it flows so simply yet so beautifully in triple time, giving real tranquillity and restfulness to the music. The flattened 7ths and gentle scotch snaps within the melodic lines and the open 5ths in the piano writing all help to give the piece its wonderful Scottish character and charm.
