Wilberg




Mack Wilberg is the Associate Music Director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Music Director of the Temple Square Chorale. He is a former Professor of Music at Brigham Young University. Also a graduate of BYU, Wilberg holds graduate degrees from the University of Southern California.

In addition to his conducting responsibilities, he is active as a pianist, clinician, composer, arranger and guest conductor thoughout the United States and abroad. Wilberg's compositions and arrangements are performed and recorded by choral organizations throughout the world. In addition to the many compositions he has written for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, artists such as Rene Fleming, Frederica von Stade, Bryn Terfel, The King's Singers, Audra McDonald, and narrators Walter Cronkite and Claire Bloom have performed his works.

Wilberg's arrangements and compositions, with their grandeur, energy and melodic charm, inspire performers and audiences everywhere. His catalogue spans many genres, including Christmas carols, hymn orchestrations, and settings of popular American folk tunes.

Mack Wilberg signed as an Oxford house composer in 2006.
