Book 3 of World of Science provides exactly the kind of material teachers have asked for to ensure the success of their students in the National Tests. Course summaries can be used as a check-list to record areas covered or to identify those which may require more work. They are also an ideal revision resource as they provide a brief summary of key knowledge. Extension activities are provided at the end of Book 3 for use in the summer term of Year 9. The focus is on longer, more open-ended project work that offers stability and progression in an often disrupted term. Self tests - differentiated into Foundation and Higher levels, these provide crucial practice in test style, and help build students’ confidence prior to the real thing. See
