Academic Permissions
Before submitting your request please check the following:
- You have completed our Request Form in full.
- You have checked the credit line accompanying the material, the Copyright page and/or the Acknowledgements page. – Although Oxford may have published the book from which you want to reproduce material, we may not be the copyright holder of the material you wish to use. This will especially be the case if the requested material is part of an anthology or collected work (e. g. Oxford Book of..)
- If applying by mail or fax, you have attached a copy of the material you wish to use. This applies to written material you wish to edit, and all illustrative material.
Please do not send duplicate requests
Photocopying: For permission to photocopy material please apply to the Copyright Licensing Agency or your local Reprographic Rights Organisation in the first instance.
For UK/USA Publications:
If you wish to reproduce, in any way, material from a book published by the Academic Division of Oxford University Press, UK, or Oxford University Press, Inc. you will need to complete the following permission request form. Once completed please save it in Rich Text Format and return it by email to academic.permissions@oup.com
For permission to use material from titles published outside OUP's Academic Division, Please contact the relevant departments:
Publications outside the UK/USA:
For permission to use material from titles originally published outside the UK or the USA please contact the appropriate Oxford University Press office.
As a guide the originating office can be identified from the ISBN as indicated below.
